What Steve has done and is doing...

  • supported a stronger noise ordinance with escalating fines for repeat offenders
  • supported the new Uniform Development Ordinance, including sponsoring a requirement for 3-D models for all new downtown project proposals
  • supports committing Monroe County to a Zero Net Waste policy within 30 years, starting with expanding recycling efforts in the city of Bloomington
  • supports comprehensive parking reform, including better use of garage and on-street spaces downtown
  • supports increasing mass transit services, including making a Downtown Shuttle a reality
  • supports making Bloomington substantially more bicycle and pedestrian-oriented
  • is pushing for mixed-use zoning and traditional neighborhood development throughout the metropolitan area
